“World AIDS Day” Remembered For Those Who Have Been Irresponsible
December 1st marks the so called “World AIDS Day”, where millions of people in America and around the world remember those that have lost their lives to AIDS, and those that are currently living with it. It is a day where, liberals mostly, will decry a lack of funding, awareness and empathy as several reasons why AIDS still persists and why it is still spreading. In no speech given by anyone “remembering” World AIDS Day will the phrase “It was their own fault” be uttered. The reason? Because liberals refuse to accept the fact that AIDS, predominantly, is spread through arrogance and a hatred and denial of morality and self restraint. In other words, AIDS is not a real threat to anyone unless they engage in intravenous drug use and/or unsafe, unprotected sex. Unless they engage in promiscuous behavior. Does that sound like you?
In fact, while millions of people around the world do engage in such destructive behavior, the vast majority of us do not. World AIDS Day has become a day to celebrate drugs and sexual promiscuity and to demand this type of behavior be accepted, promoted, encouraged and taxpayer funded. We – those of us that do not use drugs or engage in unsafe, unprotected sex, (conservatives, mostly) are called heartless, unfeeling, cold, extreme for not being more “sympathetic”. World AIDS Day has, in effect, become a day to mock morality and celebrate depravity.
Isn’t that “pathetic”?
What can be more heartless, unfeeling, cold and extreme than intentionally denying that AIDS is spread mostly through drugs and unsafe sex? What can be more unsympathetic than deflecting the cause of AIDS onto conservatives and other people who don’t support government funding of programs that either encourage drug use and unsafe sex, or who don’t want to pay for the consequences of ones own ignorance? What can be more selfish than rejecting the facts concerning AIDS and the spread of AIDS?
The only thing that can be more cruel than denying how AIDS is spread is allowing the ignorance of how AIDS is spread to itself spread. Through ignorance, AIDS has managed to infect, and kill, millions of people it otherwise might not have if they were provided with the proper and correct facts concerning AIDS.
AIDS is not something you pick up from having someone cough on you, from sharing the same straw, from sitting on a toilet seat. AIDS is not easy to get, nor is it easy to find. AIDS is not something that lives in the air around us. We cannot breathe AIDS into us. It does not hunt you – you hunt it; you search it out; you flirt with it; you do all the work while AIDS just sits back and waits for you, its next irresponsible victim, to enter. AIDS does not prey on you. You allow yourself to become infected of your own free will.
We have to be having unprotected sex with someone we don’t know, and who we don’t know (if they even know themselves) has AIDS. Hence the call among “prudish” conservatives to not have sex with anyone except with the person you have married and committed your life to living with. If not unprotected sex, then we have to be drug users. In particular, intravenous drug users, sharing needles with someone who we don’t know (if they even know themselves) has AIDS.
If it is true that every 9 minutes or so another person becomes HIV infected, the questions must be asked, demanded in fact – How did this person become HIV positive, and what were they doing at the time the infection occurred? Sitting in church, praying for salvation?
And what, really, would happen to the spread of AIDS, if even half the people who engaged in unsafe, unprotected sex and/or intravenous drug use just stopped doing so? How about if everyone stopped behaving so irresponsibly? In other words, where does AIDS have to go, if no one is engaging in unprotected, unsafe sex or drugs?
This is not what AIDS activists want to hear. And that is one of the reasons why AIDS continues to spread. Even in light of the fact many AIDS activists have lost friends and loved ones to AIDS – which is most likely to be the reason they have become AIDS activists. They do not have the courage to admit AIDS is spread more through arrogance. Particularly in a day and age where we know how AIDS is acquired, how it is spread and who is most likely to become infected.
The spread of AIDS is no fault of conservatives. We are the ones with the courage to disseminate the fact concerning AIDS. The very facts liberals denounce and want to keep suppressed.
The spread of AIDS can dwindle, indeed it can be stopped altogether, but for the fact AIDS activists themselves, the very people who spread the awareness of AIDS, are the ones standing in the way of ending it by blocking the facts, by refusing to accept that it is unsafe sex and drug use that is most responsible for the spread of AIDS.
You who “remember” World AIDS Day are doing a disservice and dishonor to those that have died from AIDS without “remembering” the vast majority of them died because they themselves used drugs and/or engaged in unsafe, unprotected sex. You who live in denial that AIDS is spread through irresponsible behavior shame yourselves and the ones you’ve lost to AIDS. You who do not speak out against unsafe, unprotected sex and drugs are only encouraging this behavior to continue. You who remain apathetic, who think “outside the box”, who will not see AIDS for what it really is, the spread of AIDS is your fault.
Until AIDS activists grow some courage; until humanity itself grows the courage to have some self restraint AIDS will continue to spread, millions more will become infected and die from something they did not have to but for their own arrogance.
Yes, on “World AIDS Day, “remember” those that lost their lives to AIDS, and those that have AIDS. But, also remember how they became infected in the first place. Use the knowledge, the facts, of AIDS to stop its continued spread.
How many more “World AIDS Days” will it take for that to happen? How many more people will become infected and die before we stop lying to ourselves and to everyone else?
